Down here in New Orleans, we’ll find any excuse to throw a parade and St. Patrick’s Day is no different. The party doesn’t stop after the parades are over, though. Patrons fill the streets for St. Patrick’s themed block parties and Irish bar crawls all around the city. Here’s a list of some of the best Irish bars in New Orleans where you can celebrate the St. Patrick’s Day weekend.

Mid-City:

 

Mick’s Irish Pub-Bienville St.

Local dog-friendly dive bar featuring old school Atari games and pinball machines.

Holy Ground Irish Pub-Canal St.

Another dive gem with pub-grub served up by Mother Mary’s. Order the “Champ” with debris gravy. You will not be disappointed.

Finn McCool’s-Banks St.

Their annual block party will be held on Friday, March 17 with live music, karaoke, and Irish Olympics.

Uptown/Irish Channel:

 

Tracey’s-Magazine St.

Their annual St. Patrick’s Day party on Friday, March 17 will serve green beer, corned beef and cabbage.

Parasol’s-Constance St.

The St. Patrick’s Day block party will be on Friday, March 17. If you’re not a fan of the green beer, try their frozen Irish Coffee sprinkled with coffee grounds.

French Quarter:

 

Molly’s at the Market-Decatur St.

Their 35th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade rolls on Friday, March 17. If you’re not participating in the parade, kick back with one of their hot or frozen Irish coffees or a Bloody Mary.
