The Golden Meadow wedding was the perfect blend of vibrancy and southern charm, truly reflecting the couple’s energetic and adventurous spirit! Amanda and Terry met when they were both working at an international airport in Philadelphia. Their yin and yang personalities and mutual love for travel lit an undeniable spark.  After a night of Pearl Jam karaoke set off fireworks and an exchange of first “I love yous” on Halloween in New Orleans, it only makes sense that they chose to tie the knot in the unique and untraditional Crescent City.

The ceremony was held at the elegant Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church on St. Charles and was officiated by Amanda’s law school professor, Reverend Penn Dawson. Surrounded by family and friends from far and wide, Amanda and Terry exchanged I dos and made their way to Republic NOLA for their reception.

Republic, a renovated warehouse turned music venue, was the couple’s first choice giving Belladeux the perfect canvas for a vintage yet edgy design. Everything from the linens to the cake was inspired from the vibrant color palette of a peacock and the funky charm of New Orleans. The entire design came to life with the help of Republic, Firefly Ambiance, and A Wise Bride Florals.

As always, Dplay rocked the stage and kept the guests on their feet all night long with a surprise performance by the bride herself! No stranger to the stage, Amanda joined the band and belted Proud Mary as her bridesmaids and guests danced along.

Between dances, guests raved about 12 Seasons’ creole menu filled with Louisiana favorites such as alligator, crawfish beignets, and creole grits. For dessert, Amanda and Terry cut into their remarkably designed cake made by Frosted Fantasies by Nikki.

And of course, no true New Orleans wedding is complete without a grand second-line exit. Guests sipped their drinks out of their monogrammed koozies by Gem Printing, waved their hankies, and danced all the way back to the Hampton Inn and Suites Convention Center to continue the party!

Every wedding is truly a unique experience and we thank Amanda and Terry for allowing us to bring their vision to life! Belladeux Events would also like to extend a big thank you to Titus Childers Photography and AJM Media for capturing the whole night.  Make sure you check out all these amazing vendors, they’re sure to be a great fit for your next event.
