Spring is here, the temperature is rising, and it’s one of the most beautiful times of the year to be in New Orleans. What’s going on this April?
Freret Street Festival, April 7
Freret Street fest offers fun food, crafts, and music for a lovely April day. Vendors coming to the event have a lot of variety and you can walk the entire distance of the festival pretty quick! Take a look at all the cute animals up for adoption while you’re there too! I went a couple years ago with my husband and his parents and we all found something to enjoy. Check out the facebook page for more details.
French Quarter Festival, April 12-15
It’s the 35th annual French Quarter Fest! If you’ve never been, it’s 4 days of the best music and food our city has to offer. Live music on 8 stages, abita beer, New Orleans Original Daiquiris, and food on offer from the best places in town. I know I’ll be trying the slow roasted duck po-boy from Jacques-Imo’s! New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, April 27-29, May 3-6
This is the premiere non-carnival event of the year in New Orleans! Jazz Fest brings the best of music worldwide and the best of New Orleans and combines them into two weekends of the biggest party on Earth.
