You’re engaged! Congratulations! Planning your big day is going to be awesome! However, if you and your fiancé both work full time jobs, the planning could become overwhelming. We have a few tips to keep you sane during this busy time and help to keep you on track while not falling behind at work.

Prioritize word cloud

  1. Create an email address just for your wedding

Creating an email account will help you keep all those important emails in one place. Share the account with your fiancé so you both have access to the details. You won’t have to search through your everyday life emails to find what you’re looking for. You can also get really creative with the email account name. Who knows, maybe the email account name will become your wedding hashtag!

2. Make a list

Write down a list of all that needs to be done. Prioritize it depending on how long each item will take or by level of importance. When it’s time to take your break during the work day, pick something on the list to work on. Little by little, you will start checking items off that list. Make sure you take your full break so you don’t feel rushed when making decisions. Don’t get distracted by other applications when you are tackling the list…Put down the Pokemon Go.

3. Create a spreadsheet

Here at Belladeux, we live for our spread sheets! They keep track of purchased items and our budgets. Create tabs in Excel for each item category and then also create one master spreadsheet to keep all the expenses in one place. Make sure you include all contact information on the spreadsheet.

4. When all else fails

If you are still feeling overwhelmed and there just isn’t enough time at work to do some of that planning, then your handy dandy wedding planner can be the best way to help you. They can guide your wedding decisions and help you to seal the deal with your vendors. We dedicate our lives to helping others plan their weddings. We spend countless hours, days and weeks planning for your perfect wedding day.
